Serengeti National Park´s ecosystem is one of the oldest on earth and therefore it is also known as paradise to the locals. It has a vast open plain which hosts the richest wildlife habitats. No wonder this is where the historical great migration of the wildebeest happens. Your cameras should be out and set to capture the most fascinating animal show on earth! After a full day of safari, you will return to your camp site, where you will enjoy another delicious dinner.
Take a drive in the vast open landscapes of one of Tanzania’s greats. Rise up and drive through the morning fog that lingers over the Ngorogoro Crater as you prepare to witness the most spectacular sunrise from the rim of the crater. The early morning light of the crater floor is best for photography. As you watch the sun rise higher and higher, you will be amazed by the movements of the small and large sized animals towards the Soda Lake and blending into the surrounding landscapes of the crater floor.
You will descend over 600 meters into Ngorongoro crown to view wildlife. It is a breathtaking natural wonder which supports a vast variety of animals due to its year-round water supply and fodder. It hosts animals such as wildebeests, zebras, buffalos, hippos, and giant African elephants. Another charm of this place is its dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopards. It takes a trained eye to spot them!
A After a re-visit to Ngorongoro National Park, we head towards the Tarangire National Park for a game drive with picnic lunch at the park. Tarangire National Park is well known for its large population of elephants and baobab trees. It forms the center of an annual migratory cycle that hosts up to 3000 elephants, 25,000 wildebeest, and 30,000 zebras.
Group sizes range anywhere between 2 and 7 people per vehicle and travelers come from all over the world.
There is no set age limit, however, we discourage parents with children under the age of 8 to join such a safari due to the lengthy drives and the fact that nights are spent on unfenced campsites. If parents are nevertheless convinced that their child / children are unfazed by the long driving distances and the travel time that goes with it, children are welcome to join the safari. But please keep in mind that the responsibility for each child lies with you as a parent at all times.
We make use of reconstructed 4×4 safari vehicles (i.e. Toyota Landcruisers), that have been designed to conquer the ever-demanding road conditions in East Africa. All vehicles have pop-up roofs that can be opened during game drives and a window seat is guaranteed for each guest.
We consider the following things to be essential:
Luggage is restricted to one large bag / rucksack weighing no more than 15 kg. Furthermore, every traveller is allowed one piece of hand luggage.
Due to the limited space in the vehicle, we kindly ask guests to refrain from traveling with suitcases as storing them in the vehicle could prove a problem. Please also do not forget to check the baggage allowances of your respective airlines.
