WHEN AND WHERE IS THE GREAT MIGRATION
The migration takes place throughout the year, but the most famous and dramatic period is between July and early October in the northern part of Serengeti National Park. One thing you can never predict is exactly when the wildebeest will cross the river—it might happen as soon as you arrive, or you may have to wait for hours before they decide to make the move. This part of the Great Migration occurs near the northern Serengeti, close to the border with Kenya.
