You'll depart from Arusha and make the three-hour drive to Materuni waterfalls. Materuni is one of the few villages of wonder in Northern Tanzania sitting at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. The village is blessed with full of all the beauty worth visiting for holidays, weekend outings, or vacations. While in the village, the scenic view of Moshi Town and Mount Kilimanjaro is astonishing.
Mto Wa Mbu, a green village with fresh air from green vegetation welcomes visitors to explore the beauty of the land and the cultural heritage of the Chagga people.
The impressive Materuni Waterfall is one of the tallest in the area, spewing crystal clear glacier water 70m into its basin. The beautiful path leading to Materuni Waterfall is located 2500m above sea level. It crosses valleys and hills covered by tropical rainforest, past coffee, banana, and avocado “shambas”, the Kiswahili word for farms. On a clear day, great views of Kibo and Moshi town can be seen.
NB: The hike to the base of the Waterfall can be demanding and hiking boots are recommended. After the tour you will drive to Chemka Hotsprings.

You’ll depart from Materuni and drive to Maji Moto. This scenic drive takes you off the tourist trail and offers a glimpse into local life: bustling markets and local farms. You’ll then spend a few hours soaking in the pleasantly warm waters, swinging on the rope swing, relaxing in the sundappled shade of the trees, and feasting on local favorites such as chips mayai (a French fry omelette) and nyama choma.
After your fun in the sun, you’ll return to Arusha or transferred directly to the airport to catch your flight back home
